Scientist James Hansen talks about his involvement with science and climate change. He was with NASA learning about climate and studying planets when he became more worried about our planet. He wanted to help and wanted to make a change and when he was ignored he quit his job and became an activist on the matter spreading his knowledge. He talks about how Ice is melting and sea levels are rising. As earth warms due to extra CO2, ice will melt and the oceans will warm. Methane emissions are also rising, which is not good for the planet. This will have effects on crops, food supply, and the health of our planet. Crops are being killed due to over heating and the drastic weather changes. Droughts are already occurring more than usual and he predicts it will only get worse. Economic problems will occur and biodiversity lost by the end of the century. Global warming already affects humans in Moscow, Texas, and elsewhere. We need to respond now before it is too late.
